Microsoft’s upcoming operating system Windows 8 installation screenshots has leaked. These new screenshots show installation procedure of the OS. The new interface seems to have implications of Zune Media Centre and Windows Phone 7 together.

What follows below is an image of someone installing Windows 8. The UI is either excessively sparse, or perhaps unfinished.

In a virtual machine environment the upgrade process take about 20 minutes. Windows 8 is incompatible with the software VMware, and any attempt to install Windows 8 in VMware ends in “black screen of death”:

There are also some rumors that the early build of Windows 8 will be made available only to some Manufacturing Partners via Windows Connect.
